We are leaking oil from every seal, that’s been a thing for a while. However, we have a new-to-me drip from the transmission.
Still — not to shabby for 40 years old.

I’d vote Longboi 2020. If only that was an option.

I’m 40 and I’m not leaking from EVERY seal yet. Suddenly I feel pretty good.
I’m at the taking victories wherever I can get them stage of badly out of shape.

I bought my ‘62 GMC short bus home out of a f ield where it had sat for 8 years. Portagee and I got it running and drove it 600+ miles from Novato to Devore CA. We used a quart of oil every 100 miles. That bus sat all spring while we worked the Ren Faire. It never leaked a drop ever again. We’d change oil on the way up to Tehacha pi every year on the way back . (When the water got to 220, watch the oil pres. When it dropped to 20, pull over and change it.) Did maybe 5k miles a year on adventures.

Don't suppose you still have that but it sounds like a really wild ride. Did it make a good mobile home once your outfitted 8t?

It came outfitted as a motor home. Lived in but hadn’t moved in awhile. Beautiful cabinetry, all working. Lived in it 5 years ‘89 - 94 . Replaced some parts and drove it all over the north CA coast. I hear it’s still existing as a tiny home sans wheels these days, if it survived the fires.

I love this.
Do you have any pictures of this rig?

Actually I do. Several rolls of exposed Disc film are still in a bag in the console of my car. I can’t find anyone to develop them though. May not be any good anymore.

I don’t know anything about it, but I bet some of the Oppos who hang at https://photography.kinja.com/ could give you some good info & resources.
It’s not quite the same, but 4 years after a buddy & I had taken a cross-country roadtrip, he found an old Instamatic cartridge we’d shot on that trip, rattling around under the driver’s seat. It developed OK, not great, but they were likely pretty crappy shots to start with :-) It was pretty great to see them for the first time, though. Brought back some good memories of an excellent trip.

I wonder how long it had been like that before you bought it. Assuming 25 years in a school bus fleet, it could have been converted as early as the late 1970s but I suspect that didn’t happen right away.
